It was a nice day at church. In Sacrament Meeting, we were taught the Missionary Cycle, which kind of like the Pride Cycle. When we share with others the joy we feel about following the commandments, we invite others to also feel that joy. When they feel that joy, they share it with others, and invite them to also feel that joy. The cycle continues on, and on, and on. It is a great principle!
In Priesthood, we learned about consecrating our lives, which is to dedicate our lives to serving the Lord. When we serve others, we serve the Lord.
In Genesis 12: 2-3, it says:
2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
This is the Abrahamic covenant: all the families of the earth will be blessed by the children of Abraham. Who are the children of Abraham? The children of the 12 tribes of Israel. How are all the families blessed? By sharing with them the gospel, which leads to happiness and prosperity.
This same lesson is taught in the Book of Mormon, in 1 Nephi 22, which demonstrates that these people who wrote in the Book of Mormon, were also the children of Abraham. God bless their souls. They must be cousins!
