I went out with the Missionaries tonight, to visit those who have not been out to church for a while. No one was home, but we did get to talk with one gentleman and invite him to church. He is out of work right now, and it is nice sometimes just to give people someone to talk to.
I feel so fortunate that I have the faith to believe that which I have not seen. For in John 20:29, “Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou has seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.”
I know that Jesus lives, and that He has a Father, because others have seen them both. It just makes sense. They are individual and together. This principle is taught clearly and concisely in Mosiah 15:1-5.
When Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist, there were three people there, as I explained on April 19th, 2011.
I know that God is real, and not some amorphous entity. I know that He loves me. He is my Father in Heaven, His Son, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost. I feel their love, and I really do appreciate it.
I would like to strengthen my relationship with them, and I know I can only do that through obeying their will, and by serving them. I know that when I serve my fellow man, I serve my God, because this principle is also taught in the scriptures (Mosiah 2:17). Thereby, I also strengthen my love for Him, and my relationship with Him. (This service also includes serving my employer. How’s that for having a way to strengthen my work ethic?)
