Today’s thought

So I decided to start writing in the blog about things I have learned from reading the scriptures (Bible, Book of Mormon & Pearl of Great Price).

I will start this where I am at in the Book of Mormon which is Helaman 16.

There are times where a lot of forces are going against us as Samuel had rocks, arrows thrown at him.  It is in these times I want to be brave and strong like Samuel to do what I know is right no matter what.  The people who were throwing rocks and arrows were angry with Samuel because he was telling of the birth and death of Jesus.  I must say that would be an amazing thing to be the one to inform others of the coming and death of Jesus.

Well today we had Stake Conference where we heard from our local church leaders.  Here are a few things I learned.

3 items that are goals for the whole Stake to achieve.

1. Obtain a temple recommend

2. Keep a current temple recommend

3. Go to the Temple each month.

This is going to be my new goal which is to go to the Temple more often.  There is a temple that is only 20 minutes away from me which is the Newport Beach Temple.  I can’t wait to get back to the temple where peace and love is abundant.

  1. Great Job Sweetheart!

It is great to see you strengthening your testimony, by writing it down as you read the scriptures.

Thank you for being such a great example.

    I love you!
