Finding True Happiness

For Date Night, we went to the movies. We saw “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2”. It was an excellent movie, and the ending was absolutely beautiful.

I am grateful for the gospel in my life, and as it says in Helaman 3:29 -30, I am glad that I have had the opportunity to embrace it. It has helped me to find, what I believe is, true happiness:

“Yea, we see that whosoever will may lay hold upon the word of God, which is quick and powerful, which shall divide asunder all the cunning and the snares and the wiles of the devil, and lead the man of Christ in a strait and narrow course across that everlasting gulf of misery which is prepared to engulf the wicked –

And land their souls, yea, their immortal souls, at the right hand of God in the kingdom of heaven, to sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and with Jacob, and with all our holy fathers, to go no more out.”

For me, happiness comes from doing the right thing, according to my conscience. Happiness is learning how to control my passions. Happiness comes from self-control, and the ability to give and love with all my heart.
