Christ’s Strength

I have found so many times that I boast in my own strength when I am successful; but, truthfully, the Lord is ultimately responsible for my abundance (Mormon 4:8). I believe that it is a natural tendency to take all of the glory; but the Spiritual Man gives the glory to God.

At this point, I am also reminded of the scripture, “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”  (Philippians 4: 13)  Previously, I had thought that this scripture means that my faith in Christ gives my power to do anything that I want to do. In other words, it gives me a sort of omnipotence. But, a more accurate interpretation is that I am able to do that which I can, because of my faith in Christ. He is the source of my success. Although, I am still a frail human without Him.
