Giving Combats Iniquity

After work, I cleared the Jacaranda branches from hanging over our Rose garden. They were from my neighbor’s tree. For dinner, I enjoyed Stir Fry. It was delicious, with ginger, and Stir Fry Sauce! It also had chicken, carrots, onion, celery, and bell pepper.

I think of the iniquity in the world, and I have been part of it. Iniquity brings a curse upon the land, because then trust fails (Ether 14:1). I constantly have to remind myself that I am not the central focus of my life. Jesus Christ is.

I think of the record number of poor Americans (46 million). And yet, I am so affluent, and all I worry about is myself. Giving is where it’s at.
