For Family Home Evening, we decorated the Christmas tree and decorated our home. It was a lot of fun. We have a sort of Disney theme going on.
“And we talk fo Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins.” (2 Nephi 25:26)
Yes, it is all about Christ.
Today, I was thinking of my Heavenly Father, and how much I have neglected Him. He loves me so. He sacrificed His only begotten Son for me, so that I may live with Him again, if I repent of my sins.
I have also neglected His Son, but I can turn myself around. I can make the right choices. I can repent. I can love my Heavenly Father, and my Savior, still. I can appreciate all that they done for me, which is more than I am aware of; but I know and trust that they are still doing things for me, for my own good.
My Savior and Redeemer, Jesus Christ, has shown me the way of righteousness, and I can do what He says. I can follow Him, through thick and thin. Although, I hope that there is more thick than thin, more good times than bad times; but I know also that the Lord’s gospel helps me to deal more effectively no matter what happens.
“And now behold, I say unto you that the right way is to believe in Christ, and deny him not; and Christ is the Holy One of Israel; wherefore ye must bow down before him, and worship him with all your might, mind, and strength, and your whole soul; and if ye do this ye shall in nowise be cast out.
And, inasmuch as it shall be expedient, ye must keep the performances and ordinances of God until the law shall be fulfilled which was given unto Moses.” (2 Nephi 25:29-30)
This I will do.
This is what I previously wrote after reading 2 Nephi 25: The Book Of Mormon Helps To Understand Isaiah
