Blessed Through The Baptismal Covenant

I went out with a friend to visit people. We had some very nice visits. They were very spiritually uplifting. We had some very nice gospel discussions. It was also really neat to get to know these people. I love going out and visiting people, because it gives me a chance to get to know them. It gets me out of the house, and then I get to see how others live, which is very interesting. Most of all, we have the opportunity to share with others, and tell them how much we appreciate them, which just spreads the love throughout the ward!

This is the covenant which I made when I was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints:

“Now, as ye are desirous to come into the fold of God, and to be called his people, and are willing to bear one another’s burdens, that they may be light;

Yea, and are willing to mourn with those that mourn; yea, and comfort those that stand in need of comfort, and to stand as witnesses of God at all times and in all things, even until death, that ye may be redeemed of God, and be numbered with those of the first resurrection, that ye may have eternal life –

Now I say unto you, if this be the desire of your hearts, what have you against being baptized in the name of the Lord, as a witness before him that ye have entered into a covenant with him, that ye will serve him and keep his commandments, that he may pour out his Spirit more abundantly upon you?” (Mosiah 18:8-10)

I have truly been blessed as a result of being true and faithful to this covenant. I have felt His love when I help others. I have felt His love when I obey His commandments. I have a felt His love as He has protected me. He has truly poured out His Spirit more abundantly upon me. I am so very grateful!

This is what I previously wrote after reading Mosiah 18:  LDS Church Divinely Planned In The Book Of Mormon
