Families Are Forever

We are kind of tired this evening. After Family Scripture Study, we watched an episode each of ‘Last Man Standing’, ‘NCIS Los Angeles’ and ‘Reba’.

You know, I find the most safety and love when I am with my wife and family, for I love them the most. So, it does not surprise me when those who stayed with their wives and families were preserved in Mosiah 19:11-14:

“Now it came to pass that the king commanded them that all the men should leave their wives and their children, and flee before the Lamanites.

Now there were many that would not leave them, but had rather stay and perish with them. And the rest left their wives and their children and fled.

And it came to pass that those who tarried with their wives and their children caused that their fair daughters should stand forth and plead with the Lamanites that they would not slay them.

And it came to pass that the Lamanites had compassion on them for they were charmed with the beauty of their women.”

I love my family, and I believe that the main objective of the gospel is to keep families together forever. That is why we Latter-day Saints are married for eternity. We want to spend an eternity with those whom we love the most.

This is what I wrote previously after reading Mosiah 19:  Great Performances Yesterday!
