“And now if Christ had not come into the world, speaking of things to come as though they had already come, there could have been no redemption.
And if Christ had not risen from the dead, or have broken the bands of death that the grave should have no victory, and that death should have no sting, there could have been no resurrection.
But there is a resurrection, therefore the grave hath no victory, and the sting of death is swallowed up in Christ.” (Mosiah 16:6-8)
I am so thankful that Christ did what He did. It means that I can spend time with my loved ones, even after I have left this mortal experience. It gives a clarity to the big picture of what life is all about. It means that spending time with each other, in peace and love, is so very important, because we will be able to spend time with each other in the future. It means that the hustle and bustle of everyday life need not be, and I can more patiently spend time with those whom I love, to get to know them better, to express my appreciation for them, to help them and serve them; because I know that there is more to this life than just the years in this mortal tabernacle.
This is what I previously wrote after reading Mosiah 16: Don’t Only Believe, Love And Obey
