Spending Time Wisely

I went to my parents’ for dinner. It was really nice to spend time with them. Spending time is what it’s all about. How I spend it is so very important. I am only given this moment in time once, so I had better make the best of it.

This is a pretty cool set of verses:

“Thou art my servant; and I covenant with thee that thou shalt have eternal life; and thou shalt serve me and go forth in my name, and shalt gather together my sheep.

And he that will hear my voice shall be my sheep; and him shall y receive into the church, and him will I also receive.

For behold, this is my church; whosoever is baptized shall be baptized unto repentance. And whomsoever ye receive shall believe in my name; and him will I freely forgive.

For it is I that taketh upon me the sins of the world; for it is I that hath created them; and it is I that granteth unto him that believeth unto the end a place at my right hand.” (Mosiah 26:20-26)

To me, these verses really capsulize the Lord’s purpose. He does freely forgive; and likewise, I must forgive, and not hold any grudges. I just must love. That is how I need to spend my time.

This afternoon, while I was walking with a friend, we talked about love, and the different types of love; and we also talked about peace; and how peace and love work together. It was very spiritually edifying.

This is what I wrote last time after I read Mosiah 26:  Thanking The Lord For All That I Have
