The USA was founded by those who were escaping religious persecution. In 1911, my grandparents came over from Russia, because they were Jews. The same thing occurred in the Book of Mormon, in Alma 35:9:
“they did receive all the poor of the Zoramites that came over unto them; and they did nourish them, and did clothe them, and did give unto them lands for their inheritance; and they did administer unto them according to their wants.”
Do we still do that in the United States? I think so. Although, some would say that we don’t; but I think it is important to differentiate between those who come into our country legally, through the system, and those who come in illegally, and then steal jobs from those who are here legally.
