We recently learned that our neighbors are moving away, so we spent some time talking with them after we got home from work.
They want to leave the stray cat, Lucy, that adopted them. Misty and I talked about whether we wanted the cat, and have decided against it. I am kind of for it, but I don’t want to take on the responsibility on my own.
I had an offer to sing in a play, but I am busy with other endeavors.
For Family Home Evening, we watched a Bible video about the Savior turning water to wine on LDS.ORG. Then, we watched President Packer’s excellent talk from this last General Conference on ‘A Child Shall Lead Them’. After that, we watched an episode of ‘Reba’.
God has much to reveal unto us, if we are faithful. For, in John 16: 12-15, Jesus said:
“I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, an shall shew it unto you.
All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.”
Then, it happened in 3 Nephi 26: 1, 9, and 10:
“And now it came to pass that when Jesus had told these things he expounded them unto the multitude; and he did expound all things unto them, both great and small.
And when they shall have received this, which is expedient that they should have first, to try their faith, and if it shall so be that they shall believe these things then shall the greater things be made manifest unto them.
And if it so be that they will not believe these things, then shall the greater things be withheld from them, unto their condemnation.”
This is what I previously wrote after reading 3 Nephi 26: How Would Jesus Have Us Live?
