We spent the morning doing chores, and what we could do of our taxes. I printed out the tax forms so we could bring them over to my parents’. In the afternoon, we went to Disneyland, because Misty had to take pictures of people who were not happy at Disneyland, “The Happiest Place On Earth”, for her final class project. When we got there, we found out that we were blocked out. So, we had to upgrade our passes to Premium Passes (The cost of that upgrade and the days food expenses will go on next year’s taxes for an educational expense). We did not go on any rides. We just roamed the park in search of unhappy people. We found some crying children, but not enough. So, we will have to return to find more.
It was kind of funny. We sat next to a Latin American couple, whose child was crying. I told them what we were doing and asked them if Misty could take a picture of their child. They said “sure”. Misty took a few pictures then the child stopped crying. As we were leaving I thanked them. Then, later, I saw the young man taking a picture of the woman and child, and I volunteered to take the picture of all them together. What comes around, goes around!
After we got home, we watched an episode of ‘Remington Steele’.
I know that this life is a continual struggle. God created my earthly body in His image. Although, the body has passions that need to be controlled. That is my struggle. Fortunately, I have a spirit body that was created before the earthly body, which can control those passions, because it can rely on heavenly resources for power.
Since I have sinned, I must repent, and as this verse says:
“As the Lord liveth, except ye repent of all your iniquities, and cry unto the Lord, ye will in nowise be delivered . . .” (3 Nephi 3: 15)
I must cry unto the Lord, continually, so I can be delivered from temptation. Therefore, I can be protected from evil, and have His Spirit with me, with peace, love, and wisdom.
This is what I previously wrote after reading 3 Nephi 3: Doesn’t Kill Me, It Will Make Me Stronger
