The Lord Gathers Those Who Repent; Otherwise, Desolation

I was about to go out walking, but my car would not stay running. I put a couple of quarts of oil in it, because it was that low. It still would not stay running. So, I went to my neighbor: problems in the throttle body. He ordered the parts, and I cooked hamburgers for us all.

After that, Misty and I went to Disneyland and shot some pictures. Then, we came back home and watched ‘Last Man Standing’, ‘Remington Steele’, and ‘Quantum Leap’.

“O ye house of Israel whom I have spared, how oft will I gather you as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, if ye will repent and return unto me with full purpose of heart.

But if not, O house of Israel, the places of your dwellings shall become desolate until the time of the fulfilling of the covenant to your fathers.” (3 Nephi 10:6-7)

This type of desolation occurred to Tyrus, in Ezekiel 26:19-21:

“For thus saith the Lord god; when I shall make thee a desolate city, like the cities that are not inhabited; when I shall bring up the deep upon thee, and great waters shall cover thee;

When I shall bring thee down with them that descend into the pit, with the people of old time, and shall set thee in the low parts of the earth, in places desolate of old, wit them that go down to the pit, that thou be not inhabited; and I shall set glory in the land of the living;

I will make thee a terror, and thou shalt be no more: though thou be sought for, yet shalt thou never be found again, saith the Lord God.”

This is what I previously wrote after reading 3 Nephi 10:  Gathered Like A Chicken Under His Wings
