Happiness Without Sin

It seems that we now have a cat. While I was on a trip for work, I called Misty and she started off our conversation informing me that we have a guest. The next door neighbors, who moved out, left behind their cat, Lucy. Misty took her in and fed her. She is an outdoor cat.

What a wonderful land that I live in:

“Behold, this is a choice land, and whatsoever nation shall possess it shall be free from bondage, and from captivity, and from all other nations under heaven, if they will but serve the God of the land, who is Jesus Christ, who hath been manifested by the things which we have written.” (Ether 2: 12)

This is another wonderful promise from my Lord. Here I am in Las Vegas, otherwise known as Sin City. At this time, I think of the bondage that people inflict upon ourselves when we sin; but if I am free from sin, then I am free from this bondage.

During my work trip to Las Vegas, As I walked along the Strip, people were standing along the streets, handing out invitations to Strip Clubs. At first, I ignored them, and I did not look at them at all. Then, I tried to love them, by looking at them, with love in my eyes, because they are my brothers and sisters. I pray that they can feel the Lord’s Spirit, so that they may free themselves from sin. I know that it will make them happier, because I am happier when I do not sin.

This is what I previously wrote after reading Ether 2:  The Decrees Of God
