What The Lord Says Will Come To Pass

We had a lot of fun yesterday. We got up late and went to Disneyland. We tried to be pretty laid back, because we figured there would be a lot of people there; and we were right, during the earlier part of the day. But as time went on, people started leaving; and we actually found that it was very easy to find a place to watch Fantasmic.

So, we started off by going to California Adventure. We went on Toy Story Mania, and California Screamin’. Then, we had Chinese food, and I ate endamame for the first time. We rested on Paradise Pier for a while and then went to the Hollywood Back Lot, where watched cartoons, and then learned how to draw a Cheshire Cat. After that, we hung around the set of the Mad T Party; but just before it was going to start, we decided we were not in the mood to hear a loud rock band. So, we went over to Disneyland, and had an ice cream sundae, and watched Fantasmic and then the fireworks display. What an enjoyable, relaxing, day at the park.

I can tell you that I know that what the Lord says will come to pass, just as the prophet Ether had experienced in Ether 15: 33:

“And he went forth, and beheld that the words of the Lord had all been fulfilled”

I know that the Lord’s promises will be fulfilled, because I trust in Him. I have seen how, by obeying His will, I felt the presence of His Spirit. I have felt His redeeming love and forgiveness. I know that He is honest. Therefore, I know that what He says will come to pass. It might not occur when I want it to occur, but I know that it will happen. I just need to wait upon the Lord, just like Ether:

“Whether the Lord will that I be translated, or that I suffer the will of the Lord in the flesh, it mattereth not, if it so be that I am saved in the kingdom of God. Amen.” (Ether 15: 34)

So, this is something that someone tried to teach me a long time ago: it is none of my business what other people think or do. I just need to be good.

This is what I previously wrote after reading Ether 15:  The Absence And The Restoration Of The Spirit
